September 2020

Ginger has found it’s way to Amazon Prime! While it has been a tough year, this sweet surprise was very much welcomed. Thank you to everyone who has supported this film since day one of filming the Summer of 2016 to now. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Fat and Funny Presents: Fat to the Future

Fat to The Future - Final.jpg

This summer, we will be performing our first show at The Second City! In Fat and Funny Presents: Fat to the Future, Raechel and I take you on a journey through time as we look into the past and explore the moments that shaped who we are today. Blast into the past, chill with us in the present, and peep into the future where we ask ourselves, “Where did it all go wrong?”

Shitty Christians (Or Turn to Romans 3:23)
by Brynne Frauenhoffer

I am thrilled to be a part of the hardworking cast and creative team for the play Shitty Christians (Or Turn to Romans 3:23) at Church of the New Play. I have been a part of this process since the beginning, when Brynne said “YES” to write a play for the three of us. This script is raw and gritty, and Brynne (as always) leaves the audience with perspectives from both sides of any topical conversation.

Roy

This Holiday season, my dreams finally came true when I booked a short film with a dog as one of my co-stars! I am thrilled to have been a part of Roy, which follows Kris (Rachel Carerri) and Jessie (me!) as they break into Kris’ ex-boyfriend’s house in an attempt to steal his dog. This was such a joy to film, and I am so glad to have been a part of an amazing and hard working team.
Stay tuned for the final cut!

Tenured at The Storefront

Finishing off the year strong baybee! I will play Dr. Candace Pegula in the staged sitcom, Tenured, written and directed by Hannah Shepard and Haley Keeley. The story follows a group of college professors dealing with budget cuts, Sexy Jesus, and a (definitely not broken) vending machine named Candi.

The show will be at Trapdoor Theatre and presented by The Storefront Theatre.

Women's Theatre Alliance Showcase

I had such a blast with (real life best friend) Lindsey Marsland performing in the 2016 Women's Theatre Alliance Showcase,  portraying Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (also real life best friends) in a scene from Matt & Ben, by Mindy Kaling and Brenda Withers. We were directed by (other real life best friend) Kelsey Godfrey. Lots of friends, lots of laughs, and lots of Good Will Hunting movie nights.

Scream's Company

I had the pleasure of joining the cast of Scream's Company at The Artists Lab. The story follows all of our favorite classical horror film monsters planning (what they hoped would be) the best Halloween party ever. I will also be joining them again for Sketch Fest in January.

After filming all summer long, Ginger is wrapped! I played the role of Bree, Ginger's best friend. This was my debut feature-length film, and the biggest film project I've worked on. Ginger is in post production and then will begin entering the festival circuit in 2018! Keep your eyes peeled for "a 23 year old woman's pretty funny, slightly sad, powerfully emotional guide to breast cancer".

June 2016

a Layover at iO

Catch me in Elaine Soloway's staged reading for her pilot, Layover, the story of a woman who decides to open up her house for pilots in need of housing during their "layovers" in Chicago, while simultaneously grieving the death of her late husband. I will read for Caroline and Flight Attendant #1, and will be playing with some of Chicago's most well-known actors and comedians. What a superb opportunity! I could not be more excited!

Line Please: the Webseries

I am stoked to have joined the cast of the new webseries, Line Please, playing the role of Layla - the weird roommate who dresses in tie-dye, smokes a lot of illegal substances, and is an avid environmental activist. The pilot will be filmed in early June, and will be submitted to the New York Television Festival.

Line Please is written, directed, and produced by Haley Keeley.

April 2016

The Lonely Heart

In the next couple of weeks, I will be playing the lead role in a short film with Columbia College called, The Lonely Heart. The film is about two close friends, but one wants to take their friendship to the next level. Will things start getting steamy?

March 2016

The Second City Conservatory

I was recently accepted in to the Conservatory Program at the Second City Training Center! I am currently in my fifth week of improv classes under the instruction of Second City Hollywood's, Holly Wortell. I am excited to finish out Level 1 of classes with a bang (or honestly, maybe a bust) (it's improv so you don't know) (I'll just go with the flow) (and do my best) (yeah yeah yeah).

March 2016

Five Women Wearing The Same Dress

I had the incredible opportunity to play Georgeanna in The Loop Players' spring production, Five Women Wearing The Same Dress. She's cooky, she's dramatic, and she always has a glass/bottle of wine in hand(s). This will be Meghan's debut Chicago theatre performance!
